Relationships are an enormous part of our lives and inevitably form and influence who were are. Our relationships include not just those of partners or spouses, but also our relationships with our families, friends, and loved ones.
What is Relationship Counselling & Psychotherapy?
Counselling and Psychotherapy can provide lasting positive change in your relationship. Relationship therapists at Mind + Zest help you explore the root causes of your relationship issues, which can include trust issues, major life transitions, ending of a relationship, dating, money problems, difficulty communicating, parenting, blended families, household responsibilities, coping with each other’s extended family, life transitions, overcoming grief and loss, toxic or judgmental household climate, lack of intimacy, controlling or needy partners and personality differences.
How does Relationship Counselling at KMA work?
Psychotherapy and Counselling here at Mind + Zest begins with a 15 minute consultation with one of our intake counsellors.
In these 15-minutes, we will ask important questions to determine the nature of the problem and the treatment approach needed. We’re also asking questions to get a better sense of your personality or personalities. Here at Mind + Zest, we believe it’s very important that your counselor is the ‘right fit'. The consultation is also a wonderful time to address any questions you may have.
During your first session, your intake specialist will provide you with a customized ‘plan of action’ – this includes the recommended relationship counselor who is best equipped to suit your needs, the expected duration of therapy (if applicable), and a recommendation for any additional testing or psychological services we feel would be helpful.
