Relationships are an enormous part of our lives and form and shape who we are. Our relationships don’t only include our partners or spouses, but also our families, friends, and loved ones.
What is Relationship Counselling & Psychotherapy?
Counselling and Psychotherapy can create lasting, positive changes within your relationship. Our relationship therapists at Mind + Zest will help you identify the root causes of your relationship issues, which may include trust issues, major life transitions, ending of a relationship, dating, money problems, cultural differences, communication issues, parenting, blended families, household responsibilities, coping with each other’s extended family, significant life transitions, overcoming grief and loss, toxic or judgmental household climate, infidelity, lack of intimacy, controlling, distant, or needy partners, fertility issues, and personality differences.
How does Relationship Counselling at Mind + Zest work?
Psychotherapy and Counselling services at Mind + Zest begin with a 15-minute intake session with one of our experienced intake specialists. During this session, we will ask important questions to determine the nature of the problem and the treatment approach needed.
We will also proceed with questions that provide insight into your personality. Here at Mind + Zest, we believe it’s very important that we get to know you to ensure that your counselor or therapist is the ‘right fit’ for you.
The consultation is also a wonderful time to address any questions you may have.
Finally, we will provide you with a personalized ‘plan of action’ – this includes the recommended relationship counselor or therapist who is best equipped to suit your needs, a recommended duration of therapy (if applicable), and any additional testing or psychological services we believe would benefit you.
